Danielle Carpenter Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Inaugural Research Conference 2017

Danielle Carpenter

I am currently employed by Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre as the nurse coordinator for the gynaecology tumour stream. Between 2012 and 2017 I was working at the Royal Women’s Hospital as the clinical nurse consultant for the gynaeoncology service. In 2014, I completed a Masters of Advanced Nursing Practice through Melbourne University and I have a post graduate diploma in Cancer and Palliative Care. I played a key role in the establishment and continuation of a survivorship clinic for women with early endometrial cancer that aims to address health and wellbeing issues for women, leading to discharge to the GP for ongoing management. Survivorship consultations are also an important component of the care provided by the gynaecology nurse coordinators at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre with women who have medium to high risk gynaecological cancers.
